What is Mental Health First Aid?
Mental health first aid is the help provided to a person who has a developing mental health problem, or who is in a mental health crisis. Like physical first aid, mental health first aid is given until the person receives professional help or until the crisis resolves.
Mental health first aid strategies are taught in evidence-based training courses authored by Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Australia and delivered by accredited MHFA Instructors across the country. From Me to You offers the Standard Mental Health First Aid Course as authored by MHFA Australia and as accredited by MHFA Australia.
With 1 in 5 Australians experiencing a mental health issue, Mental Health First Aid is a vital and valuable skill set to have to be able to assist others in your workplace and community.
