Course Overview:  This course is suitable for any healthcare professional who is involved with IV therapy and requires the skills to undertake the placement of peripheral intravenous cannulae. On completion of the course assessment of competencies should be arranged within the workplace.

Course Objective:  On completion of this programme the practitioner will be competent in:
• The skills of peripheral venous cannulation of the arms.
• The administration of intravenous bolus agents in adults.
